PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT :: ATTN: Everett Hellmuth and Officers of Passport Nissan of Marlow Heights

JUST A LITTLE FAVOR I PUT IN FOR MOMS. LONG STORY SHORT, NISSAN WENT ON HER, AND LIKE HER SON SHE DONT LAY DOWN AND TAKE ISH'! SO SHE TOLD ME TO BLOG IT A.K.A. "PUT THIS UP ON YOUR LITTLE WEBSITE," LOL.

FROM ALEXIS DOBBINS:
I am writing today regarding your appalling lack of service and responsiveness towards a former customer, Ms. Alexis Dobbins of Suitland, MD. Ms. Dobbins, owner of a 2003 Nissan Murano, was a customer of Passport Nissan of Marlow Heights' Service Department and paperwork will underscore that for more than three years she adhered to the service schedule as laid out by Nissan Motors. For more than 8 months, while her car was under warranty, she complained of a "slipping" or "stalling" problem with her transmission; again, service slips will bear out her concerns. Repeatedly, for more than eight months, she was told that "nothing can be found" or "we can not recreate the problem".

Her transmission failed earlier this summer, approximately 6 weeks after the car was out of warranty. After offering for several years to be a partner with her in the maintenance and service of her auto, Ms. Dobbins has had to undergo the following:

· Repeated refusal to set up a meeting with the Nissan Regional

Service Representative;

· Any accommodation on the part of Passport, given their inability

and/or refusal to address the problem she brought to their

attention almost a year ago;

· Refusal of any senior-level manager at Passport Nissan to

discuss the situation with her

She has since been informed by an authorized transmission repair center that "we were immediately able to determine the problem, and this is not a new problem. Clearly, this transmission has been in trouble for quite a while". In addition, she has received countless emails from others who have experienced the same transmission-related scenarios with Passport of Marlow Heights.

Residents of the Washington Metropolitan area will not accept this level of service from businesses that rely upon us for their very survival. Therefore, as a result of the extremely poor service and lack of responsiveness evidenced by Passport Nissan, I am sharing this correspondence with all of my friends, relatives, and church and community associates in the region and inducing them to – under no circumstances -- do business with Passport Nissan of Marlow Heights.

In today's business environment, responsible customer service is not an option.

It is a requirement.
